26th Toronto International Film Festival Coverage: Day Two
Day 2 is when the Festival really starts to roll. We had two movies to screen and four red carpet premieres to photograph.
The first film we saw (at 8:30 in the morning!) was Hearts in Atlantis with Anthony Hopkins. Great acting, which is to be expected from Hopkins and Hope Davis, but a sheer delight when coming from the young duo of Anton Yelchin and Mika Boorem.
Our second feature of the day, The Business of Strangers, was interrupted briefly by a fire alarm, but that didn’t stop us enjoying this look at the psychological games two women play off each other while stuck at an airport hotel. Stockard Channing and Julia Stiles star in Patrick Stettner’s feature debut.
Once again as the sun started to set, it was time to head for the red carpets. We attended premieres for Sidewalks of New York, Hearts in Atlantis, Thirteen Conversations About One Thing and Training Day which featured a surprise appearance by Keanu Reeves.
