Film Fest Flick Finally Famous (Almost)

Whew! Always wanted one of those __Variety__-style alliterative headlines.

For months writer-director Cameron Crowe’s newest film was known merely as Untitled Cameron Crowe Project as Crowe searched for a name. With a September premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and a September 15th release date, Dreamworks needed to put some name on the trailers.

Crowe decided upon Almost Famous. The film tracks a young rock journalist and is the director’s first flick since Jerry Maguire.
