Welcome to our coverage of the 84th Annual Academy Awards which were hosted by Billy Crystal at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

“Wait,” you say. “Don’t you mean the Kodak Theatre?” Sadly, due to the photo giant’s bankruptcy proceedings, it was no longer able to make the payments necessary to keep its name on the Oscar’s home. Without a current sponsor, the landlords just asked that it be referred to as the Hollywood & Highland Center.

There was drama before the 84th Academy Awards even really got started. The telecast was originally supposed to be co-produced by Brett Ratner and Don Mischer and hosted by Eddie Murphy. After Ratner used a homophobic slur at a press conference and made some rather tasteless comments during a Howard Stern interview, he resigned from the show and was replaced by Brian Grazer. Murphy exited soon after and was replaced by eight-time hosting veteran Billy Crystal.

Check out our results and commentary of the big night.
