Adam Michael Rodriguez was born on April 1975 in New York, New York. Rodriquez originally wanted to be a baseball player, but a spinal injury in high school put a wrench in his plans. While attending SUNY Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY he decided to take up acting.
After he won a role in a production at the Jersey Papermill Playhouse, Adam decided to become a stockbroker to pay the bills. The acting bug continued to bite and he did children’s theatre in NYC. During that time, his father contacted an old military buddy he recognized on the Emmys. The friend was then a producer on NYPD Blue and he helped land Adam a role in an episode of the cop drama in 1997.
From there, he was cast as a series regular on the series Brooklyn South which ran from 1997 to 1998. Rodriguez kept busy with a variety of guest spots and recurring roles on series like All Souls, Resurrection Blvd. and Roswell.
In 2002, Adam became a series regular on CSI: Miami. In 2005, he was in Keeper of the Past and the TV movie Category 7: The End of the World. A busy 2006 saw Adam in Thanks to Gravity, Unknown and Splinter. In 2007, he was in Take and Cielito lindo.
Another busy year, 2008, saw Rodriguez in 15 Minutes of Fame, Christmas Break and Bohica. The following year saw him appear in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All by Myself with Taraji P. Henson.
