Alan Wray Tudyk was born March 16, 1971 in El Paso, Texas. He attended Juilliard and embarked on a career on the stage before going before the cameras. He was seen to great acclaim in shows like Epic Proportions, Bunny Bunny — Gilda Radner: A Sort of Romantic Comedy, Candida and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, a show that had him naked for most of the night.
Tudyk made his feature film debut in 1997’s 35 Miles from Normal. He followed that film up the next year with the Robin Williams vehicle Patch Adams. In 2000, he was in 28 Days with Sandra Bullock and Wonder Boys with Michael Douglas. The following year, he was seen supporting Heath Ledger in A Knight’s Tale and Anthony Hopkins in Hearts in Atlantis. He was then featured as a recurring character on the series Firefly from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, more features came his way with Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn and I, Robot starring Will Smith.
Alan was in 2005’s Serenity and had a busy 2007 with Death at a Funeral, Knocked Up with Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, and 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. The next year he was in Meet Market with Elizabeth Berkley and Krista Allen.
