Elliot Page was born on February 21, 1987 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was bitten by the acting bug early and attended Halifax’s Neptune Theatre School.
His first TV gig was in 1999 with the Canadian show Pit Pony, which earned him a Gemini nomination. He landed a recurring role on several episodes of the cult hit Trailer Park Boys in 2001 and then landed his first feature, Marion Bridge with Molly Parker.
The 2003 TV movie Mrs. Ashboro’s Cat earned him a Gemini win. That same year, he appeared in Touch and Go, Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story with Thora Birch, Going For Broke with Delta Burke and Gerald McRaney and Love That Boy. The following year, he appeared in I Downloaded a Ghost, Wilby Wonderful with Paul Gross and had a recurring role on the series ReGenesis, which earned him a second Gemini win.
In 2005, Elliot was in Hard Candy with Patrick Wilson and Sandra Oh and Mouth to Mouth. The following year, he appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand, where he played Kitty Pryde opposite Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart.
2007 was a huge year for Elliot. He was in An American Crime with Catherine Keener, The Stone Angel with Ellen Burstyn, Kevin Zegers and Christine Horne, The Tracey Fragments and, of course, he had the title role in Juno, the critically-acclaimed comedy about a pregnant teen that co-starred Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner and Michael Cera. He earned nominations for that role from the Academy Awards, BAFTAs, Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Teen Choice Awards and took home the winning hardware from the MTV Movie Awards and Independent Spirit Awards.
In 2008, he appeared in Smart People with Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church.
