Nicollette Sheridan was born in Worthing, Sussex, England on November 21st, 1963 and was raised in both London and Los Angeles. Her early life included some notoriety as she met then teen idol Leif Garrett when she was 15 and lived with him and his mother while she was still a minor. Their relationship lasted 6 years.
Her first introduction to the small screen was in a short-lived series, 1984’s Paper Dolls and her first introduction to the big screen was playing the bikini-clad “sure thing” in Rob Reiner’s The Sure Thing with John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga.
1986 was a productive year for Nicollette. She appeared in Dead Man’s Folly with Peter Ustinov, Dark Mansions with Michael York and started a regular role on the primetime soap Knots Landing. Playing the daughter of Kevin Dobson and Michelle Phillips, Sheridan joined the show in its eighth season and remained with it until its conclusion in 1993. During her Knots Landing run, she made the TV movies Deceptions (with Harry Hamlin), Lucky Chances, Somebody’s Daughter and the 1992 feature Noises Off, whose ensemble cast included Christopher Reeve, John Ritter, Carol Burnett, Michael Caine and Marilu Henner.
After the run of Knots Landing ended, she made two TV movies in 1994: A Time to Heal with Gary Cole and Shadows of Desire with Adrien Pasdar. More TV movies followed the next year, as she appeared in Silver Strand with Gil Bellows, Virus with William Devane and Indictment: The McMartin Trial which starred James Woods, Mercedes Ruehl, Lolita Davidovich, Henry Thomas and Shirley Knight.
She worked opposite Leslie Nielson in the 1996 comedy Spy Hard and starred in the TV movie The People Next Door with Faye Dunaway. Sheridan then worked with Chris Farley and Chris Rock in Beverly Hills Ninja and the TV movie Murder in My Mind with Peter Coyote. The next year, she was in the dark comedy I Woke Up Early the Day I Died with Billy Zane, Tippi Hedren, Christina Ricci and Andrew McCarthy and the TV movie Dead Husbands with John Ritter. In 1999, she made Raw Nerve and followed that up with 2000’s The Spiral Staircase with Judd Nelson.
In 2001, Nicollette did some regular voice work for Disney, voicing the role of Eleanor in the animated series The Legend of Tarzan. In 2002, she starred in Mary Higgins Clark’s Haven’t We Met Before? and the next year, she worked on the TV movie Deadly Betrayal and the feature Lost Treasure with Stephen Baldwin. She also guest-starred on the TV shows Will & Grace (as the other woman threatening Debra Messing’s marriage to Harry Connick Jr.) and Becker starring Ted Danson. It’s interesting to note that Sheridan was one of the actresses considered for the role of Grace.
A huge year in 2004 started with the TV movie Deadly Visions but her return to TV stardom came when she cast as the man-eating Edie Britt in Desperate Housewives which co-starred Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman. In 2007, she worked with Cedric the Entertainer on Code Name: The Cleaner and lent her voice to the 3D animated flick Fly Me to the Moon in 2008.
Nicollette was married to actor Harry Hamlin from 1991 to 1993 and became engaged to singer Michael Bolton in 2006.
