2001 MTV Movie Awards
The 2001 MTV Movie awards were telecast on June 7th, 2001. Hosted by Kirsten Dunst and Jimmy Fallon, the MTV awards are about as far away from the Oscars® as you can get. The show opened with some line-dancing apes, featured Jim Carrey accepting his award telepathically and the big musical number, featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink singing Lady Marmalade, was actually a highlight.
