Regis Philbin to host Oscar Red Carpet show

Regis Philbin, the man who hasn’t met a show he couldn’t host, has will be hosting the Oscar’s official 30-minute red carpet arrivals show. The show, which precedes the broadcast of the 80th Academy Awards® ceremony airs at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, February 24th, 2008.
“Regis is the perfect guy to serve as host. He knows everyone, and everyone loves Regis!” said pre-show producer Dennis Doty. “I’m thrilled that he has agreed to be the ringmaster for this year’s extravaganza.”
