Hannibal enjoys box office buffet

Anthony Hopkins’ Hannibal Lecter character still has room for dessert.
Weekend box office estimates show that the thriller Hannibal took in an estimated $15.8 million over the weekend, almost doubling the combined take of the critically-savaged 3000 Miles to Graceland and Monkeybone.
At least the Kurt Russell/Kevin Costner flick made it into the top 10 with its fourth place take of roughly $7.1 million. The Bredan Fraser vehicle, Monkeybone, pulled in a mere $2.6 million to land at number eleven.
