Smith back in the ring

Stalled just last week, Michael Mann’s Muhammad Ali biopic with Will Smith is back in the ring.

Sony had shelved the project, saying its budget was projected to go above the studio’s $105 million cap. Smith and Mann have agreed to reduce their up front fees as well as their take of the foreign box office. They’ll also look at the script to find potentially expensive scenes that can be reworked.
