It’s hard to believe, but despite all the great dramas he’s been in, Robert De Niro’s new comedy is his best career opener. This weekend audiences met Meet the Parents to the tune of roughly $29.1 million in gross estimates released by the studios.
That beats De Niro’s previous big open, Analyze This ($18.4 Million), and makes it co-star Ben Stiller’s biggest opening too, beating The Cable Guy ($19.8 million) which he directed.
