Dante Soiu, who has been stalking Gwyneth Paltrow since March 1999 was convicted of stalking after a secretive trial.
Soiu, who sent Paltrow sexually graphic letters and packages and twice showed up outside her parents’ home in L.A. was found legally insane and sent to a psychiatric lockdown facility until he is recovered
. The court tried their best to protect Paltrow’s privacy by changing her name to “Anonymous” on court documents. The Oscar®-winning actress was able to testify without media attention because of that change last week.
The name change is legal under a California penal code addressing crimes with any “sexual aspect”.
