Emmy cancelled for second time as U.S./British forces launch attacks
Oct 07, 2001 by Ian Evans
As U.S. and British forces began their attacks on Afghanistan, the organizers of the 53rd Annual Emmy Awards decided to postpone the Emmy Awards once again, feeling that the time was not right.
The awards were to be handed out on September 15th, but were delayed to October 7th after the attacks on the U.S.
No decisions have yet been made about whether the awards will be telecast at all.
