Gayheart gets off light

Rebecca Gayheart will not be going to jail for a traffic accident that killed a boy back in June.

Gayheart pleaded no contest and instead of facing up to a year in jail will instead be sentenced to three years’ probation, a one-year suspension of her license, a $2,800 fine and 750 hours of community service.

The 29-year-old actress will also have to make a public-service announcement. She still faces civil charges in a wrongful-death suit filed by the boy’s parents.
