Lowe to leave fictional White House

The West Wing will be saying goodbye to Rob Lowe this season.

Though said to be an amicable situation, Lowe, who plays White House deputy communications director Sam Seaborn, appears to be leaving over money.

While Martin Sheen’s salary was tripled to $300,000 an episode and many of the cast had their pay doubled to $70,000 an episode, Lowe is still making the $75,000 he was in the show’s first season.
