Shuttle lost over Texas
Feb 01, 2003 by Ian Evans
Another disaster has hit the close-knit family of NASA as the space shuttle Columbia, with a crew of seven, broke up over central Texas on its way to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The shuttle’s altitude at the time, over 200,000 feet, makes it highly unlikely that this was a terrorist act according to the White House.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families.
