Daniel Craig has finally been announced as the next James Bond. The 37-year-old arrived at the press conference on a power launch, escorted up the River Thames by Royal Marines boats.

The first blond Bond will star in Casino Royale, a film the producers are promising will be a little darker in tone than recent Bond outings. Craig’s filmography includes the gangster flick Layer Cake and Road to Perdition, where he played Paul Newman’s murderous son.
