Ten films to compete for Animated Feature Oscar

The short films and feature animation branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has deemed ten films to be eligible for the Best Animated Feature Film category in the 78th Academy Awards® competition.
The eligible films are:
- Chicken Little
- Gulliver’s Travel
- Hoodwinked
- Howl’s Moving Castle
- Madagascar
- Robots
- Steamboy
- Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride
- Valiant
- Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Under the rules for this category, a maximum of three films can be nominated in a year in which the field of eligible entries numbers at least eight but fewer than sixteen.
The 78th Academy Award® nominations will be announced at the Academy¹s Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements for 2005 will be presented on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland®.
