Sahara cruises to top spot

The Matthew McConaughey/Penelope Cruz action flick Sahara debuted at number one this week with an estimated $18.1 million opening. Last week’s topper, Sin City, took the second spot with $14.1 million while the Drew Barrymore/Jimmy Fallon comedy Fever Pitch debuted in third with $12.4 million. Guess Who and Beauty Shop rounded out the top five with $7 million and $6.8 million respectively.
