Ellen to host Emmys

Saying that she looks for “any excuse to put on a dress”, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will host the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Ellen handled the task admirably when she hosted the show that was twice postponed after 9/11 and the start of the war in Afghanistan.

Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chair Dick Askin said that, “Ellen has demonstrated her extraordinary ability to connect with the television viewing audience. We are delighted to have her back.”
