Joaquin Phoenix walks away from LA crash

Walk the Line star Joaquin Phoenix was involved in a car crash on a canyon road near LA’s Sunset Strip. The 31-year-old actor’s brakes failed on the hilly road. Phoenix lost control of the vehicle and it overturned and collided with another car.

Joaquin’s publicist said that Phoenix, who was wearing a seatbelt, was able to walk away from the accident after being helped out by a passer-by. She added that he will still attend the 12th Annual SAG Awards on January 29th.
