U2 has big night at Grammys

It was a great night for U2 at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. The Irish rockers took home five Grammys, while comeback queen Mariah Carey won three awards…all in the non-televised portion of the ceremony.
Paul McCartney gave a rousing performance of “Helter Skelter” while also joining Jay-Z and Linkin Park on a “Yesterday” mash-up. Sly Stone, the recipient of a tribute, joined in his tribute jam for a few bars then strangely wandered off.
But the Grammy win that no one’s mentioning? Senator Barack Obama beat out George Carlin in the Best Spoken Word Album category. Now that’s a win.
