Whitney and Bobby split

I’m shocked.

I’ve always held up Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown as an example of a marriage that works. A real couple. The family that gets stoned together, stays together. That sort of thing. C’mon, we’re talking 14 years of wedded bliss.

However, it turns out that Whitney filed papers in Orange County Superior Court last Friday requesting a legal separation from Brown. 100 points if you guessed the reason was “irreconcilable differences.”

A Brown spokesperson said that, “It is a legal separation. It is not a divorce or a divorce petition.”

Houston has requested custody of their 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
