Dennis Quaid sues drug company
Dec 05, 2007 by Ian Evans
Dennis Quaid and his wife are suing Baxter Healthcare Corporation, makers of the blood thinner heparin, after their newborn twins were mistakenly given massive doses while in hospital.
The suit seeks over $50,000 in damages, claiming that the company was negligent in packaging different doses in similar vials with blue backgrounds. The lawsuit states that Baxter should have done a recall after another overdose killed three children at an Indianapolis hospital in 2006.
