David Lee Roth to tour with Van Halen

Eddie Van Halen has confirmed the rumours. David Lee Roth will be joining Van Halen on a North American summer tour.

On a posting on the Van Halen website, the guitarist said that, “I am very excited to get back to the core of what made Van Halen.” The band and its onetime singer briefly reunited and recorded two songs in 1996.

Still, it won’t be the Van Halen we knew in the 80s. Bassist Michael Anthony left the group and was replaced by Eddie Van Halen’s 15-year-old son Wolfgang late last year.
