Reynolds and Morissette split

After four years of dating and a year and a half of engagement, singer Alanis Morissette and fiancé Ryan Reynolds have split up.

Still, it’s always nice when the ex-couple’s publicists can get together for one last joint statement. So we have Dvora Vener and Meredith O’Sullivan telling us that, “Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have mutually decided to end their engagement. They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other. They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter.”
