Paris Hilton exits jail early

One night in Paris. Five days time served.
Los Angeles County Jail officials held a press conference early Thursday morning to announce that professional crotch displayer Paris Hilton was “reassigned” to 40 days of house arrest because of an undisclosed medical condition.
They did their best to keep stressing that Hilton, who must wear an ankle monitor, was “reassigned” and not “released” but that didn’t ease cries that the tabloid fave was accorded special treatment. Paris, who was originally sentenced to 45 days, entered the jail late Sunday night after an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. She was credited with five days time served.
