Lindsay Lohan pleads guilty on DUI charges
Aug 23, 2007 by Ian Evans
On the same day that actress Lindsay Lohan was formally charged with seven misdemeanors for her two DUI arrests, the troubled 21-year-old entered into a plea deal.
The actress must spend one day in jail, serve 10 days of community service, and complete a drug treatment program. She’ll also be on three years probation, is required to finish an 18-month alcohol education program, pay fines, and complete a three-day county coroner program that includes a morgue visit and talks with victims of drunken drivers.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of today’s events is that the party girl actually copped to her antics. In a statement released by her publicist, Lohan said that, “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case.”
