Clay Aiken confirms he’s gay

For some people, this news is the equivalent of saying “The sun rises in the East.” For some Claymates in the Midwest that still cling to the dream of being Mrs. Aiken: You better sit down.

Singer Clay Aiken will appears on the cover of the latest People magazine with the headline: “Yes, I’m Gay.”

Aiken is on the cover of the mag with his newborn son, Parker Foster Aiken, and a quote which reads “I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things.”

Aiken fathered the child with friend and record producer Jaymes Foster.
