Avril Lavigne files for divorce

In one of those moves that finally confirm months of speculation, singer Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley.

Married in July of 2006, Avril’s filing cites “irreconcilable differences” and asked for a ruling to block Whibley from receiving spousal support.
