John Hughes dies of heart attack

John Hughes, whose films like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club__, Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off defined a teen generation, has died of a heart attack. He was 59.

A spokesperson for Hughes, who also wrote Home Alone, says he died during a morning walk in Manhattan, where he was visiting family.
