Roman Polanski arrested according to Zurich Film Festival

Organizers of the Zurich Film Festival are saying that director Roman Polanski, in town to receive a lifetime achievement award, has been taken into custody for a 31-year-old US arrest warrant.

Zurich police have not yet confirmed the claim. Polanski fled the United States in 1978, one year after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl.
