Gary Coleman, who played the lovable Arnold Jackson on the 1970’s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes, has died after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 42.
His wife Shannon made the decision to take him off life support early this morning and he passed at 12:05pm. He had suffered a head injury during a fall at his home in Utah.
Sadly, the young man who was a top TV star had been a victim of financial mismanagement and ended his life somewhere on the D-list. Though he made reality TV show appearances most of his press in recent years as due to the problems in his life. Estranged from the parents that he blamed for most of his financial troubles, Coleman’s tabloid-worthy life included legal woes and a 2003 run for California governor.
