The Stranger joins Oscar Noir

1946’s The Stranger which was directed by and starring Orson Welles, will have a screening as part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ series “Oscar Noir: 1940s Writing Nominees from Hollywood’s Dark Side”. The screening will be on Monday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater and will be introduced by Ocean’s Elevene screenwriter Ted Griffin.
The film, about the hunt for a Nazi war criminal in suburban America, earned Victor Trivas an Academy Award® nomination for Original Motion Picture Story.
