Russell Brand and Katy Perry divorcing

Fourteen months after Russell Brand and Katy Perry tied the knot on a tiger reserve in India, the couple are headed towards divorce court.

Actor-comedian Brand, 36, filed for divorce today from the 27-year-old “California Gurls” singer and said in a statement that “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

The ol’ chestnut, irreconcilable differences, was cited as the reason for the filing.
