Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver announce separation

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have announced that they have separated. The couple has been married 25 years.

The spokesman for the actor and former California governor said in a statement that they were separating after “a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer” and will live apart as they work on the future of their relationship.

The couple have four children.
