Texas Thunder music festival debut to support people of West, Texas

The Texas Thunder Music Festival is making its debut in Gardendale, Texas from May 17th to the 19th, 2013. In light of the fertilizer plant explosion tragedy in the city of West, Texas that left 14 dead and some 200 injured, the organizers of Texas Thunder have pledged that 100% of the festival’s proceeds will go to support West’s schools and first-responders.
Festival organizer Brian Andrews said, “We are disheartened by the tragedy in West, Texas. Texans are passionate about their communities and upon hearing of this tragedy, the Texas music community reached out to lend a helping hand.”
The festival features an lineup of Texans including The Randy Rogers Band, Josh Abbott Band, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue and more.
Weekend passes for the event are available for $65 with camping starting at $110. There are also a limited number of single-day tickets available for $35.
