Bye Bye Bill: O’Reilly out at Fox News

Fox News has parted ways with the always controversial Bill O’Reilly. The writing was on the wall a few weeks ago when news of settlements for sexual harassment claims surfaced and dozens of advertisers began to boycott The O’Reilly Factor. This story follows the downfall of Fox News co-founder and chairman Roger Ailes over the same activities last summer.

21st Century Fox, the parent company of the right-wing news outlet, said in a statement that, “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.” It’s a big move for the network as the bombastic host is one of the network’s top draws.
