Rex Reed out at Observer

The New York Observer has laid off several employees in its entertainment section, most notably Rex Reed, the paper’s film critic for over 25 years. The paper was recently owned by Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who sold his stake after taking a position in the administration.
Reed said in a statement that, “The shocking truth is that the Observer has been going down the drain financially for quite some time.”
