Suspicious package sent to Robert De Niro’s production office

One day after pipe bombs were sent to multiple public figures and forced the evacuation of CNN’s New York headquarters, the New York Police Department’s bomb squad has taken a suspicious package away from actor Robert De Niro’s Tribeca production offices.
On Monday, a device was received at the home of billionaire George Soros. On Wednesday, multiple pipe bombs were received by the Obamas, the Clintons, U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and former CIA Director John Brennan via CNN’s New York offices, though Brennan is actually a national security analyst for NBC News. All the recipients have one thing in common: they’re both frequent critics of U.S. President Donald Trump and, in return, the targets of his particular brand of vitriol.
Based on similarities between the packages and devices, law enforcement officials believe they are looking for a serial bomber.
