Beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek dead at 80

Alex Trebek, the Canadian-born host of Jeopardy! for the last 37 years, has died after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80.
On Twitter the show released a short statement:
Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends. Thank you, Alex. pic.twitter.com/Yk2a90CHIM

Trebek is survived by his wife, Jean Currivan Trebek, and their children, Emily and Matthew.
