It was a cool day in Toronto, a break from the blistering heat of the last week and a promo for the weather that surrounds Toronto in September.

September in Toronto means one thing: festival fever.

The 26th Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6 to the 15th and the folks who run the big show held their opening press conference today in order to make a few announcements.

The Festival will feature the world premiere of Fred Schepisi’s Last Orders which stars Michael Caine, Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren, Ray Winstone, David Hemmings, and Tom Courtenay. Another gala presentation will be Scott Hicks’ Hearts in Atlantis, which stars Anthony Hopkins.

Also screening at the Festival will be Dark Blue World from Jan Svêrák, director of the Academy Award® winning film Kolya. Dark Blue World chronicles the story of two Czech pilots who fly for the RAF during World War II, and fall in love with the same woman.

The Festival is less than seventy days away now and Digital Hit will be gearing up our coverage soon at http://www.digitalhit.com/fest/tiff.
