De Niro has cancer

60-year-old Oscar®-winner Robert De Niro has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

According to a statement released by De Niro’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, “Doctors say the condition was detected at an early stage because of regular checkups. Because of the early detection and his excellent physical condition, doctors project a full recovery.” He also added that De Niro is still expecting to start shooting his next film, Hide and Seek, early next year.
