Elizabeth: The Golden Age to get gala treatment in Toronto

Elizabeth: The Golden Age will have a gala premiere at the 32nd Toronto International Film Festival this September. The film reteams castmates Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush with director Shekhar Kapur. Clive Owen joins the cast as Sir Walter Raleigh.

This sequel finds Queen Elizabeth I facing attacks on her reign coming from both Spain and her own court as the Spanish king sets off to restore England to Catholicism.
