25th Toronto International Film Festival Coverage: Day One

Day 1 is now history…and it is actually about 2:42 a.m. on Day 2 as I type this. Just got came home from the opening night party down on Toronto’s waterfront.

We saw two press screenings today, Denys Arcand’s Stardom followed by Christopher Guest’s Best in Show. Stardom had its moments but like its subject it will have its fifteen minutes and then fade from my mind. Best in Show on the other hand was a complete hoot and had the industry audience I saw it with rolling in the aisles with laughter.
