26th Toronto International Film Festival Coverage: Day One
Day 1 of the 26th Toronto International Film festival is now over. The first day is usually a little quiet. We checked out what was happening in the press office and then headed over to the press screenings to catch Richard Linklater’s Tape. The film, which stars Ethan Hawke, Robert Sean Leonard and Uma Thurman, takes place entirely within the confines of a small hotel room. It’s well acted, funny, and original. This is the sort of movie that should be seen by more people but will probably not make it to your local multiplex. Take my word: rent it.
The day then concluded with the Festival’s opening gala, Last Wedding. Well that’s it for today. Day 2 is busy for us, so we’re off to bed.
