31st Toronto International Film Festival Coverage: Day One
It’s Thursday, September 7th and the legions of film fans have begun to descend on Toronto for the 31st Toronto International Film Festival.
Our coverage for today began with a red carpet premiere for the festival’s opening film, The Journals of Knud Rasmussen. From Roy Thomson Hall, we headed up to Ryerson University to catch the premiere of Fido, which stars Billy Connolly, Carrie-Anne Moss and Henry Czerny. After a brief dinner break, we headed back to Ryerson to catch the insanity that greeted Sacha Baron Cohen and the premiere of Borat Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
